Default Possibly relocating to Carson City

and looking for any and all information from you all. The good the bad and the ugly, if you wouldn't mind!! We are a small family with two young girls, our oldest just started K'garten. Schools and SAFE neighborhoods with lots of children would be great to learn about. How is the crime?? The weather? Whatever you can think of is much appreciated...Thanks in advance for all your info!!

I'm also looking to re-locate to Carson. I've visited there several times so far and I like what I see.

Would also like info regarding perceived crime and how the schools are.

Been there a few times during all seasons, and so far, I like the weather. Seems to me you get mild summers and mild winters with beautiful springs and falls.

i lived in carson for about a year, i hated it. always windy, cold in the winters, and there was alot of drugs in the schools. that was my experience. the year we left i had heard about skin head gangs in carson high school. so i am happy we got out of there. we moved to g-ville loved the area, but it was loaded with drugs in schools worse than carson, they even had metal detecters and police in the junior high!

I live up the hill from Carson City in South Lake Tahoe and to be honest, I hear nothing but bad things about Carson. Not too sure, but Gardnerville might be a little better. I would look there.

Are there any other good sized towns near Carson City? I'm hoping to find something with relatively low taxes or traffic.
