Default Is Nevada getting it's share of ex-Californians?

I read in another post that 3,000 Californians are leaving the state everyday!

Are they flocking to Nevada with it's low taxes and wide open spaces?

Plus, you can always jump across the border to fish, visit Tahoe or get some culture in Sacramento or LA?

It sounds like the perfect state to relocate to.

I've given it some thought about moving to the Reno area, which would allow me to slip back into CA under the cover of darkness to visit frieends and family and pay lower taxes at the same time. But I think I'll stay here for a while.

My family and I relocated to Carson City about 2 months ago from Southern CA. About 90% of the people I talk to are originally from CA.

If you want to enjoy the Nevada Advantage (low taxes, personal freedom, strong protection of rights), you've got to vote for it. Folks need to band together and work on preserving our rights and liberties. You can learn how we're doing this in New Hampshire by checking out nhliberty.org We spend a lot of time attending State House meetings, testifying against property rights abuses, and reporting back the voting records of these politicians. You can see what they're actually doing and who's really doing what they say that they're doing.

That was my thought also. Carson City seems to be the town of choice.
Easy access to Calif. That is until Calif. finds a way to tax the folks living in Nevada and coming back!

Unfortunately, California is so big (It should be 2 states!) that we can't band together in small groups like N.H. to get things righted! There are too many that do not read or research the candidates and vote for the one that will help us out of this mess. They just vote a straight ticket. No thought to whether the candidate has any real skills or expertise.

I've been in Carson City (from South Lake Tahoe) for 8 years, and most of the people I know here are former Californians. Oddly enough, the former Californians I know have more hatred of Californians moving here than the Nevadans I know. Myself, I miss my house in the Tahoe woods, but Carson is a lot better than many places you could find yourself in Nevada!
