In addition to the Elk ridge, I belive the White Pine motel ( 775-289-4600) and the one across from Sportsworld (rustic inn, I believe-775-289-2800) both have kitchenettes. The Four 7's motel behind the Jailhouse are ran by the Hotel Nevada and can be had for around $30/night or so. There is also a new La Quinta by Ridleys.

Yeah Clarks, I know what you mean. We thought the time the road was well enough graded to get our tent trailer back to deer and elk camp was the heighth of luxury, but around here, the motels are packed with hunters from September thru early December. I believe thats pretty much the only time the Elk Ridge Motel is open anymore.

If you're looking for a quick bite, may I recommend Andersons Foodtown deli? Good sammiches and specials. Wife and I lunch there 2-3 times a month....also really really good fresh baked goods, including fresh bread....
