Mizpah Hotel in Tonopah and Colonnade Hotel in Eureka
I need some help. We are planning a trip to Tonopah in a couple weeks and have heard that the Mizpah Hotel in Tonopah was re-opened. Is that true? If it is, does anyone know how we could get hold of someone to make a reservation? I would appreciate any information you could give me. Also if you can give me any info about a hotel in Eureka, The Colonnade Hotel, I would appreciate that too. Thank you so much, everything I find on the internet seems to be old and no contact information.

Yes there are not to many good updated hotel sites these days. Sorry but I don't know anything about it. If your realy curious about if the Mizpah Hotel in Tonopah is open go drive out to Tonopah, find the Mizpah Hotel, see if it says open or closed, and drive back home and the Colonnade Hotel in Eureka I don't know nothing about that hotel but saw a picture of it. I don't see any sence and why you want to go to the Colonnade Hotel in Eureka, Nevada. I absolutely doubt it's any good. Good Luck.

Bangladesh specializes in "being funny"
The Mizpah was closed last time I went through. If it has reopened there is a great ghost, the Lady in Red on the fifth floor. If you cannot get a room there, there are several reasonable motels. The Colonnade is a very old, bathroom down the hall, run by an older Italian lady. Very historica.

Colonnade Hotel Info.
One of my best friends is the current owner of the Colonnade Hotel in Eureka, Nevada. I'm sure he would be happy to answer any questions that anyone might have. Email me personally and I would be glad to forward to his email address.

I used to stay at the Colonnade in the late 1990s, because I loved its olde-time atmosphere, and the hotel keeper (who was French, not Italian), was very gracious. The rate then was $27/night, which was a bargain ! I visited Eureka in June 2007 and discovered that the hotel was closed and undergoing renovation. Has it reopened ?I stayed at the Mizpah in August 2001 and enjoyed its Old West ambience. I think it cost $35-40/night then, which was a reasonable price in exchange for being able to surround myself with all of its history.

The Colonnade Hotel changed hands when the elderly lady who owned it sold it to a gentleman from New Jersey. It has not been open for guests for six+ years now.
The former owner isn't Italian or French, she's Basque, from the French portion of the Basque country. I'll be in Eureka this weekend and will inquire of the owner (who I know) what his plans are.
