2) My wifes car is a 2000 GMC Jimmy and the backup lighys do not turn on, and I did check the bulbs and fuse, they are good, It appears that the switch is in the console which is a PITA to get at. My boyfriend replaced his driver door with door from a scrap yard. His was rioted and would we knew it would not pass inspection in NH. When we went to get it inspected the inspector was looking for the trucks weight information (on the driver side door) and would not pass him because the info on the door did not go with the truck (I think it had to do with emissons) . Does anyone know what he has to do to get his truck to pass inspection? The original door is gone.
The inspector is looking for the decal that lists the gross vehicle weight rating of the vehicle. It's usually mounted to the door jamb, not the door. You should be able to order one from the dealer.
