Default Moving from UNY - Need Advice PLEASE

Hi Everyone - i have enjoyed reading your posts on various subjects and was hoping you would be kind enough to help us out...

We are relocating to NH and need to be close to Auburn but we live in Saratoga Springs NY currently and have an abundance of culture, kids venues, schools, shopping, parks... and I haven't read anywhere yet that gives me a good comparison in NH. I would love to live on the water but I think that is too far a commute.

Could you please guide me on an area that would be great to raise 2 boys; 18mo's and 3 1/2 years. I do love how quaint NH is from the pictures but I do need to have the amenties for the kids... parks, pre-school, hospitals...:

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. So far Bedford seems to be the best option but does it have enough for the little ones as well as for my husband and I??

Thanks a bunch!!! PS - does anyone know anything about Chester? It looks nice online for housing?

Bedford has many good things going for it. It is a nice community and is near enough to Auburn but still you can also get to Nashua and Manchester and Concord without driving considerable distances. Bedford has many sports programs and a new high school. Chester is a nice almost rural setting but is a little harder to get to places from. It does not have anywhere near the amenities that Bedford does. Concord is a nice community to try also as it is easy to commute to and from. Saratoga Springs is a very nice place indeed. NH has some places mentioned that are close to comparable.

Wink NH lover

I would live in Concord.
I do love in Concord.
I've grew up in NH and have lived in Deerfield and Pembroke, which were both nice places but i really am crazy about Concord.
At the ripe age of 20 ive already decided this is were i want to raise my kids some day.
Its perfect!
Its not to big its not to small. 40 mins for the ocean. 15 from the queen city (Manchester, or rather you'll hear it called "manch-vegus) You have the capital right in the middel of the town, its always expanding, theres always something to do from teenagers to kids. The kids themselves have musiums and tons of parks. They'll love Whites Park with the giant gold fishes in it in the summer. Theres a webpage for it i would deff. google it.

Check out the Exeter area. Just 25 minutes to Auburn and close to the coast. A great family location!

Hi Henry - I can't answer your questions, but my son and his family live very near Saratoga Springs - I love that area! We live further north than where you're looking, which is why I can't answer your questions, but welcome to NH!
