Default Atlantis Sports Club

Anyone ever been or have a membership there? I have a membership at Planet Fitness for $20 a month but at the ASC I could have a member ship for $49 and they offer much more- pool, classes like kickboxing & spinning that i would do. Is it crowded often? Clean? Helpful staff?
Just wondering if it really is as good as it seems!
thanks

Not familar with it, but seeing that you are located in Manchester, how about Gold's? No pool, but plenty of classes taught by certified instructors and excellent equipment to boot. I imagine the membership rates are cheaper than Atlantis, though I don't know since I utilized the facility sporadically as a guest member when in Manchester for occasional business.
Planet Flakeness: I can't make it any clearer: run far, far away: you get what you pay for: it is the second coming of Bally's and way worse: sleazy sales tactics, the most discrimnatory public establishment you could possibly come across in the health industry (ironic for a place that labels itself as the "Judgment Free Zone"), and unhelpful and unresponsive staff and upper management. Don't even have to take my word for it. Do some google searching and you will see it is catching up to these leaches.

thanks for your response! im not a fan of golds. my mom used to work the front desk there and she liked it but said how most people that went there were men body builders. although im sure plenty of other people go there as well. i am in manchester right now but will be moving to merrimack at the end of the month & ASC will only be a 15 minute drive away. I really want a place with a pool too. love to swim & its such a great exercise for me because my knees hurt often & im only 19 haha!

Definately find some place with a pool, or even seasonal access to a pond or lake. And take care of your knees! Speaking as someone only 47 and looking at needing both of them replaced.... if you ever have questions about knee problems, check out <http://www.kneeguru.co.uk/KNEEtalk/>

My best bet would be that you may have local Y which will cater to swimmers and weight lifters who are less the "body building" type. Go check out your local Y branch- the downside is that YMCAs vary greatly in the class offerings and shape of their facilities- all contingent on contributers and donators, generally local.
