I have a pretty solid background in meteorology so this site might be a bit technical. The models update four times a day every six hours. I generally look at the 500mb maps to analyze the possible track of low pressure centers. The "12Z model" was released at 12PM today tracks a low right of the New England coast, which would be a snow track given the cold air in the interior. However, storm tracks often change this far out and it could easily go out to sea as well.

Ya, the forecast models have been better at getting the snow right for the higher terrain compared to the Merrimack Valley. Next to no snow has fallen at all in Merrimack County so far.

There is a 50/50 possibility of a coastal storm next Mon-Tues, but lots of uncertainty this far out. It could bring snow to much of NH or track well offshore bringing next to nothing.

Said from the man who is going to be here with his family to play in it CaptJob, I think this year, you will need to fully appreciate the value of snow. If we get dumped on during your visit, I nominate you and the family to come on over and clear the driveways & walkways around my house in southern NH. Then, for kicks, repeat the experience for somebody who actually lives in the jackpot/snowbelt area, like Colebrook. I'm kidding, of course, but if you do get the urge to shovel, c'mon down! I promise to provide pots of homemade hot cocoa and of course maple snow candy
Colebrook, I saw pictures from your town on Thanksgiving, and all the white stuff that was present at that time. I can't believe the amounts that you get in the great white North!

Oh Val......were in!
My kids, especially the 5yo, asks every day if we are going to the snow yet. The others cant wait to shovel,(by delegation that is ) ski, play etc. Its a novelty for them as we only get 2 weeks in NH for winter then back to monotonous sun.
Incidentally all. The storm predicted to hopefully hit NH on Saturday night/Sunday and maybe bring some good snow is directly overhead here right now. Lots of rain by SoCal standards so we are going to throw some snowy wishes into the clouds and hope it tracks right to you!!!
Our rain today is your snow this weekend....I hope anyway.
