New BBQ joint to check out in Hillsbourgh when they are open



Rock Rimmon is a little local oddity that sits right in the city limits, we also have a ski area called Mcintyre whicj is also smack dab in the city proper



If you look to the right in the pick you will just pick out the wild turkey making his escape

Same covered bridge, caught my shadow by accident, still think it's cool

No we did not take the bike



but we had a good time getting out and shaking the winter blues a bit

No doubt, a good day! Glad you got out, CD. I always enjoy your photo essays. I've seen a few of those bridges. The one in Warner used to have a bowling alley just to the south side and to the left. 6 lanes, I think, could've been 4. I believe the locale was/perhaps still is known as Waterloo. I lived in Henniker for a few years and there was a class 4 road that made it's way up to Warner. You'd come out at that same bridge, but it's been 30 years and I just may be a little foggy on that.

I actually remember when the present bridge in Henniker was built in the early 70s. It replaced an older covered one, but they looked different as far as the windows went. The entire structure was built on dry land and pulled into place using teams of oxen. Just how many, I don't know as I missed that day. My dad went out and took pictures of it all, but I've never seen them. Here it is in the almost-ready stage.
