Question Construction,South Willow St, Manchester
Does anyone know what the contstruction site on the southern most part of So. Willow St. is for? I wondered if it had anything to do with the new Airport access road from Bedford but it seems to be on the wrong end of the airport for that..this construction site is near the end of the smaller runway at the airport that is not used currently. Lots of construction materials on the east side of So. Willow St.

I believe due to standard safety regulations, the runway needed to be lengthened.

I did some research today and found that yes, they are lengthening that runway. I also read that they may be moving so willow st over beyond the new runway extension. What a traffic nightmare! I sat on that stretch for 30 minutes yesterday about 4:15. Of course, the heavy rain didn't help much.
