Default Tell me, what is there to do in Hopkinton?

Moving from Allenstown to Hopkinton. I am very unfamiliar with the area. What is there to do for fun, is there anything I need to know about it, are there any cow pastures, and how's the weed there? (I don't smoke marijuana, this question is only here to cover all the bases. This doesn't mean that I don't want you to answer it though.).

I find your question to be odd. You are only 20 miles away from Hopkinton. How "unfamiliar" could you be? See for yourself. It's a small bedroom community with a brief "in-town" section and a nice Episcopal church. There is a great apple orchard on Gould Hill Road in Contoocook with a fantastic view of Mt. Kearsarge. Not much to do. Just quiet living. It's a bit different than Allenstown as there is not much in the way of trailer parks and blue collar demographics. Taxes are pretty close to each other. Weed? Haven't a clue............

Be glad you don't have to ask about meth...I mean, some states have MAJOR problems with that. One reason we 'ruled out' certain states.

Like bryfry said, go there (20 miles is so close!) and check out the area, talk to locals, feel the vibe, ask the police department!

Try having to move 400-600 miles and find the 'good and bad' places. It's hard!

Watch Television and count mosquitoes. Hoptkinton is not exactly a "Big City". In fact it is just about the same as Allenstown.

Greg, Sometimes you are hilarious! Watch television and count mosquitos. That line really got me howling! True, though.

Wow. Yac zapped me twice in one thread. I'm stunned.

How about this:

Hopkinton is boring except during the fair. Allenstown is not much better, but it has a great State Park. Do what ever you want. As for the latter part of the original question? Who cares. I'm out.........................
