Funny tho, shrimp is something that I never even consider eating at seafood restaurants. Can't eat it fried. Tried fried lobster last summer, that was a mistake I won't make again. Crustaceans, imo, are best prepared simply. Boiled or steamed, served up with butter, lemon juice. To each their own
I love lobster.. just not fried. First and last time I tried it was at the old L street cafe in Hampton, and I am not fond of smelts, no matter how they are cooked.

Woodmans is in Essex... I agree lobster and the like should be made up plain pretty much. Adding anything usually ruins it.

So went to Newick's at Dover Point today, and disappointed in the meal. We split a scallop/clam plate and ordered a clam chowda and a fish chowda. Clam was pretty good, fish had mashed pieces of fish, no chunks at all, and tasted more milky than fish broth. We won't be returning again this year

I've always had a good meal at Johnson's. It's great to be back in N.H. and be able to eat fresh New England seafood again. The Lobsta stew at Newicks has always been good for me.
