I agree! I know that realtors are limited in the number of pics they can post depending on the subscription that their office purchased, etc.. but you would think that this would make them more careful in chosing photos of the houses features. My favorite so far in the mls photos I've seen is of a bed with no sheets and huge stains on the mattress??? Makes me want to run out and look at that house!!!

This is not limited to NH (I lived there in the past and was surfing around) but one of my favorites was my ex-landlord posting pics of his condo that he's trying to rent--with a huge amount of construction, scaffolding, and debris almost blocking the window in the photo of the BR.
Three months after I moved out at the end of my lease, it's still vacant. HELLO!
And maybe he SHOULD use an agent, his ad is completely delusional... "huge apartment with tons of space," etc. NOT!

My favorites are pictures of rooms that are piled high with papers, the computer is sitting on the floor, the laundry basket is in the middle of the room, and there are boxes of crap everywhere. My other favorites are of the yard: unmowed, toys all over the place, grill cover on the ground, old lawn mower sitting under the deck. Lovely.

Realtors must understand, I wouldn't even concider a place that has poor pictures. If it looks bad, it must be. Now, I've been duped the other way too. A decent looking house in the pictures turned out to be a turd in person. You just have to weed out the junk and hope for the best. It takes time and lots of homework. I've been looking (not actively) for two years now. I think I've got it down now. I visit NH alot (I'll be up there for three days this week) and I always make sure I check out something new, be it a town or a house. It's been worth the time, believe me.

Ok you guys LOL Now I'm going to get paranoid and check out the pictures of the listings that I have, make sure there's no laundry baskets, stained mattresses or flowers on shelves.... Maybe I should start posting my virtual tour links, then I can stamp it "CD Forum Approved" sorta like the good housekeeping seal of approval...

Val, That is too funny! I've seen your photos on here and I'm sure you haven't posted any of the above mentioned!

Bryfry, I tried to give you a rep point just for the "turd in person" comment, but it says I have to spread it around...not too sure what is required, but when I figure it out I definately have to give you brownie points for that...cracked me up!!
