water company? (maintenance, softeners, year)

I am wondering for those who have iron filters/water softeners which company do you use? Are they solving your issue?

I have been with the same company for almost 9 years. The past year or so the iron has gotten worse even though I run the equipment every 2 days as well as maintenance. Equipment doesn't last forever and telling me to run the water for ten minutes doesn't help with the laundry/dishwasher.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
