Question Any jobs for electronics engineers?

Hello all,

I have been snooping around here for a while and read a lot of your posts. It’s really a great way to learn about the different towns/cities in New Hampshire.

About 8 years ago I moved to Nashua and worked there as an electronics engineer for 1.5 years. I met my wife there but we decided to move on to explore other parts of the country and have now lived in several states. We have talked a lot about going back to New Hampshire as we never really have found any place we liked as much. We now have our own family with two kids which of course means that we would like to live in an area with good schools.

We were never too fond of Nashua, but went to the surrounding towns a lot and enjoyed taking walks around in the streets. Looking back, we believe that some of these towns could be the place to settle down.

As I started out, I am an electronics engineer and I’m a bit concerned that NH might not be the best place for that field any longer. Massachusetts will probably fit me better job vise, but we believe NH as a conservative state with a lack of (some) taxes will suit us much better, not to mention the beautiful nature.

I’m looking for some information whether there are any high tech areas around and what area they might be in. I should probably add that I don’t like driving a long way in rush our traffic which probably limits us a lot in making this work out.

Thanks for all suggestions.

Have you looked on monster.com or dice.com? I've looked into software jobs and what I've seen is that the high-tech jobs are located mainly in the Nashua and Manchester areas. But I've also seen opportunities in Concord, Portsmouth, Lebanon and Laconia.
