Oh nooooo...I hope there will still be some foliage when we get out there in Oct. Lol. My family and I are so excited to get out there and "leaf peep" and house hunt!! Although, I am kinda scared about the realtors out there, from what I have been reading on another post....

Yes, yes I already noticed the foliage in NH today as well. Oh my...I'm already thinking snow, which I know makes some of you cringe. By the way foliage in VT is just as awesome as NH. You will need to stay more south if you want to see better foliage in October, especially if it is at the end of the month (if we are lucky we might even have some snow up north by then, a pretty dusting).

Suzet, when in Oct. are you coming for a visit? White Mountains usually peak out by Columbus Day weekend (2nd Monday of October) but there should still be plenty of color in Keene area... if you miss it there, you may have to cross the border into Massachusetts and drive into the Berkshires, Mohawk Trail, etc

I do have some pictures somewhere (probably on my other computer) of a foliage trip a year or two ago, with white stuff falling from the skies..... I'll post them if I can find them

Most of the trees turning color right now are usually stressed and turn early. Some areas could have used some rain too as it is dry where we are in Deerfield and haven't seen much in the last month.

The global warming bit was a wiseass remark along with the political reference.

There is some differences in the fall colorations becuause of soil differences caused by the bedrock. VT has more limestone and NH more granite. See both if you can. Southern Quebc is also pretty spectacular in the early fall
