They DO allow motorcraft, and the lake is pretty full of boats most warm summer days, but not jet skis, and I guess the type of sailboat that human skin (gasp!) might regularly touch the water or capsize on a fairly regular basis (?) Maybe someone here knows more about sailing? I thought I read about sailing lessons happening there, and they do have sail races, regattas, etc...

Default there are boats on Lake Massabesic

just not too many....there are also businesses in Auburn. A few construction companies, plumbing companies and private contractors. There are also multi-million dollar companies that help keep the tax base down.

Basically, Auburn has beautiful scenery to offer but not much in affordable, available housing. They do not have a high school and they have a very over-crowded elementary school. They do not have trash pick up.

The residents all seem to be related to each other and/or have lived in town for 50 years or more. It is a very, small town of about 5,000 residents compared to Derry which has over 35,000.

In comparison,Derry has 6 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and a private high school. The taxes are nearly double Auburns, but Derry has multiple full time fire departments and full time police departments.

It's hard to compare a small city with a village.
