I've lived here since 1980 straight, and a bill of sale is all I ever had to get for any vehical/trailer older than 10 years old.

I traded a 4x4 transfer case, for a 1981 XS 850 Sh Yammi bike right off the scrap heap where i found it in a junk yard. The guy gave me a bill of sale and no cops have looked at that bike since.

What bike is this anyway, and you want a working key or the cops will gitcha. They see you messin with wires and you will be stopped and questioned.

Like to see a few pics after you get it, if you do.

If you do want to get a title for a vehicle that is older than 15 years, you need to register and inspect it. The police need to confirm the VIN.

here it is... I did decide to pass on it as it was a bit more beaten than I had hoped for. A very crummy re-paint plus when the bike was reassembled after paint it looked as if it were held together with zip ties and duct tape!

Oh well, I'll keep looking for something cool to zip around on.

What a shame;

In it's day that bike was a superstar, with a great ride and plenty of power. Dang....

I owned the Kawasaki version, the CSR 750, which looked almost like a clone to the Suzuki.
Simple stupid motorcycles, that just ran and ran......

I'm in the process of searching out an older "enduro", as the majority of my roads here are still dirt. 250cc would get me into town when needed, and allow for a bit of the fun factor. Don't need alot of cc's for quiet country roads.

good luck in your search for another.
