I'm sure more of the folks who live in that area can chime in with information but until then you can find out more about it at the school's website or on wikipedia: Dartmouth College - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

just curious... Happy, where are you from that you've never heard of Dartmouth? I"m guessing not in the US? are you familiar with winter, cause Dartmouth gets a lot of cold winter (they have a great ice festival every year).

I am a US citizen but I live in Quebec, and I'm trying to get into an Ivy League School and am planning which one would be best for me.
And I never really used to pay great attention to famous colleges so maybe that's why I never heard of it earlier.
well half of the Ivy Leagues are in New England. Dartmouth is the closest to you in Quebec (so obviously you are quite used to winter and will have no problem with that ). There is also Harvard in Mass, Brown in Rhode Island, & Yale in Connecticut. I don't know if you're male or female, but while these colleges are now co-ed, there are some women's Ivy League (the 'seven sisters') - most of which are still women only - also in New England. Mt Holyoke, Wellesley & Smith are all in Mass.
If you are interested in going out of New England (upstate NY or PA) there are some more ivy league schools. All of them are tops, all of them are famous.

As they were the model for "Animal House", I'd wonder about them.
