Just found the forum. As an EMT, it is easy to find a job, but the problem is, it is with a private ambulance service that doesn't pay very much, and not much in the way of benefits. And if you try to work as a Full-Time EMT/ Firefighter, you need to pass the State of NH CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test) or your resume won't even be considered. See the State of NH Dept of Fire Standards & Training website.
I passed the test this year (at 39 yrs old), and have not found anything yet, so I still work for a warehouse, and make better money than emt's that work for an ambulance service. The Full Time Fire Dept have put the standards in place within the last 5-6 years or so. Stoddard is a nice quiet place, volunteer fire dept, not sure of its size.
Good Luck.

Thanks for your info, and congratulations on passing your test. I took a civil service test here in NY for dispatcher and they nationally certify you, so now I'm looking into that instead of an EMT. Good luck to you and thanks again.
