What do you think of the area? Is it pretty? Family friendly? A good choice? Thanks

Sunapee is great. You have the lake and any recreational water activity you can think of. You also have Mt Sunapee which has lots of cool stuff going on in the summer too. There are free concerts in Newbury harbor and several good places to eat. Very family friendly. If your looking for a place to stay check out The 1806 Inn at Mt Sunapee.
Definitely a great place to have a vacation. Have fun.

Excellent area for families. It is not a commercialized vacation spot. If you like outdoor activities and a relaxing atmosphere then it is the right place for you. If you're looking for excitement, water parks, etc., then it is not the place to be. The big lake area is better suited to that venue.
