Default Moving to Portsmouth, NH

Hello everyone,

We have a job offer in hand and seriously thinking of moving to Portsmouth, NH. We have no idea where to live. We don't have kids yet but planning soon. We want to live in a place where it is close to shopping (prefer big malls), restaurants and nice church. We want to live closer to big cities but far from nightlife. We are looking for cities where lot of families live around. So, if anyone could suggest places suitable for us. I really appreciate your replies.

when i lived there i lived in tidewatch condo's. everythings close in portsmouth you might want to try colonial drive out by pease tradeport. quiet neighborhoods no crime or very little when i was there. i haven't lived there in 13 years so i don't know what has changed and what hasnt. i do know they tore up the old klines furniture building and there was a seafood resturant by the kittery bridge that they converted into condo's from my understanding yokens is also gone wich was a resturant. for shoppin you have the fox run mall newington mall best buy k-mart osco drug rite aid market basket shaws shop and save state street discount. may i suggest calling portsmouth chamber of commerace and requesting info on portsmouth to as that might be of help!! and if you don't have google earth you can download it free and punch in a location and it will let you veiw it kinda neat honestly. and if you love italian subs then goto to moe's italian subs there great you can smell em down the street . portsmouth is 45 mins south of portland maine and 45-55 mins from boston hope this helps. maybe you should plan a vacation there and explore portsmouth it's a nice little town and your not far from anything.
