No it isn't bad at all.

In fact, it is much, much, much worse in the summer....if traffic is any indication.

Its not crazy busy. We did a long weekend the week after Christmas at the Red Jacket (check out the indoor water park). We had a blast.

Thanks! Maybe we will go ahead and give this a try. At least it will be colder than Florida Christmas Nothing like waking up on Christmas morning to 90 deg.

There's no guarantee of snow, but there's a 90+% probability of snow in the White Mountains region on Christmas. Even if the ground in North Conway is bare, there will almost certainly be snow in Franconia Notch or Crawford Notch and on the mountain peaks. Your odds are pretty good.

And yeah, NC might be busier than most other towns in the area, but the traffic really shouldn't be bad around Christmas. The busy weekends are in the summer, along with Columbus Day weekend (for leaf-peepers) and MLK & President's Day weekends (for skiers).

Well,a friend of mine and myself went down to No.Conway this past winter about a week before Christmas and the outlet stores were pretty busy.Of course my idea of traffic is more then 5 cars in front of me-also it was an atypical mild day and I just think everyone from Mass. decided to take a weekend drive. It was tolerable and doubt that it would be anything like disney world ever!Don't know anything about Tennessee.

Were gonna do it! Looks like a nice Hampton Inn (I have enough free points) with a indoor water slide thing. Just got to figure out exact days, thinking 26th to 2nd...Thanks again!
