Default Looking to buy in Newton or Newmarket...pros and cons?

My fiance and I are looking to buy a house in NH, and have recently looked in Newton and Newmarket. We both grew up in MA, so we're somewhat familiar with the area. Some questions I have for locals:

- I have done some research on the nearby school districts, but what about first-hand experience? Are they able to attend other nearby schools, such as Exeter (if we bought in Newton)? We don't have children yet, but something I do want to consider

- What is the trash situation like? I have heard that Newton does not have trash pick-up? What about recycling?

- How is the water quality?

- Taxes? Taxes in Newton seem to be higher than in other NH towns?

-What do you like about living in Newton or Newmarket? What do you not like about living in Newton?

Any comments that people have would be greatly appreciated!
