I know there will be lots of new exciting things that NH has that we don't have here in FL - but it's a little simpler for me to think of those things that I know won't be there. Know what I mean?

Does Dover have a lot of chain stores/restaurants, or is it more local/mom & pops there?
Dover has both. They have some mom/pop resturants downtown and on the water. However, Dover is having a building boom. They have added a few hotels, are adding a Maragritas Mexican resturant by Liberty Mutual. They are also adding another resturant that has not been named yet. Also nearby Rochester is adding a lot of chain restuarants and stores.

So I got to looking and I found out you don't have Moe's Southwest Grill (I see it does exist in MA and VT) or Zaxby's Chicken. Got me thinking I wonder what else we'll be missing???

Anybody have any experience going from shopping at Publix (where shopping is a pleasure) to a NH grocery store?

For those of you who have moved to NH -- were there any big stores/restaurants that you left behind and still miss?
There are favs that I missed going from Texas to Illinois. The best Japanese restaurant Jin Bei where they cook in front of you, to the best BBq and ribs I could ever have imagined. But after living in Illinois for 2 years, in a small town, NH is a Godsend. I have decent Italian, burgers in the local diner are yummy, and eggs benedict! The last time I saw that on the menu was at a gormet eatery outside of Dallas. And this was only $4.00 a plate. Outstanding. I find my tastes change, my diet changes, and of course my chocolate UH I mean weight changes as the seasons do. I'm sure you'll find a "new" chicken place or great winter soup dish at a cozy cafe or diner, complete with fire crackling in the fireplace, to replace what you've lost in Florida. I am very impressed at Market basket food store. I have been living under a rock eating hot dogs for a while, so my experience so far up here has been like a kid at Disney Land. Stay awhile, and try the lobsta!!
