Default Newport N.H. Rentals

I'm thinking about buying rental property in Newport. Any ideas on the area? Are there tenants there? Is it a nice place to live??

Newport is a fine old New England town. Newport is a hub for surrounding smaller towns, such as Sunapee, Newbury, Goshen, Unity and others. The lake and ski area of Sunapee is just a few minutes drive away, so it helps with stability and cash flow for the businesses in the area. Newport has larger food and retail stores for the area except for Claremont, which is just a few minutes drive to the west. Claremont has been and still is experiencing a growth spurt with it's new retail outlets such as Walmart and Home Depot. I can't tell you what rents are generating in Newport. I guess it all depends on what you purchase and it's location. All in all, it's a buyers market so prices may not be all that bad for investment property. Will it make money? Will it pay the mortgage? It's hard to say. In reality, that's up to you.

Thanks, I drove through yesterday and that's how I saw it. Yes, I think it will rent well in it's location.
