She stockpiled months worth of food and water and recently purchased all 5 guns. She knew her son had mental health issues yet she allowed him to use her guns for sport shooting. Sounds like she had a few mental issues of her own.

to be correct she was a prepper for the breakdown of civilization. I am not stockpiling anything because I won't be here. Those left behind however might want to push aside the obvious idiocy of this woman but might want to follow her activities to a degree.. it will not be pretty. it will not be kind..it will be hell on earth.

Or may be it wasn't lack of religion or lack of parenting or lack of help with mental heath issues. May be he was just one angry guy.
Every time I hear someone say "I can't believe it happened", all I want to say is "I can't believe it doesn't happen more often". People are so damn angry - road rage, people shooting up their employers, people getting all ticked off bc their credit card was rejected at the supermarket.
We are not teaching our kids how to deal with emotions. We try to sterilize their environment and than we are all surprised when they can't deal with life.
I wasn't born in US, so didn't go through the school system until I went to college, but I can't believe that two boys can't get into a fist fight anymore or they will be expelled. Are you kidding me??? Yeah, "no violence" - so much better this way
