Going to Portsmouth for the first time tomorrow for a class. Thought we would go down early and do some sightseeing. I looked for some threads for things to do, but seems they were all written during the summer. Any cool, shouldn't miss things that I should put on my list for tomorrow? Very excited to see the town, all of the pics and videos I've seen look very nice.
theres prescott park strawberry bank and lots of little shops and resturants in town as well theres the music hall and a childrens museum dont knoww if you have kids or not. then theres always hampton beach as well.
Thanks, Krelithous. We actually didn't make it. My better half's back was giving his trouble and he figured the drive was going to take a lot longer in the snow that day. I'll have to put your suggestions on the list when we actually do make it.

For some beautiful photo ops, cross the bridge over to Kittery, then get on 103 east over to Kittery Point and find/map your way over to Fort Foster Park. It's off the beaten path but worth it for scenes of beautiful rocky shoreline, lighthouses, Portsmouth Harbor and the ocean. My favorite spot in the whole area. If you're looking for a good pizza and a beer on top head downtown Portsmouth to the Gas Light company. I miss New England.
+1 on Fort Foster. Some cool WW2 fortifications there too, built to protect Portsmouth Harbor. Mostly ruins now. While you're at it, hit Seapoint Beach which is right nearby. Shouldn't be crowded this time of year.
