I heard it on the radio yesterday. I was very excited. Can't wait to watch it! I had to laugh at the comment at the bottom about "move that bus, no seriously I have to get out of my driveway." LOL Great chuckle this morning. I'm so happy for that family! I love the show!

Cool!
ABC/EHM team just finished a house near Brattleboro (VT) and should air next month. I'm looking forward to seeing it as well as the Manchester one.
The only thing I wonder though.....taxes. The home that was done in Vermont is apparently the highest assessed property in the town and the folks are apparently really poor (huge medical bills). Hopefully some folks will help them out.

I believe they get sponsorships and set up "trust funds" of some sort to help with/pay the taxes... at least for a while.

I love it! The small lots that are common in the larger cities make it hard to fit enough house on them. It looks like they pulled it off. Thanks Dinalkulp for posting those. How exciting. EHM built a house down here in southern FL and instead of the town being excited for the family, they did nothing but throw up roadblocks against them! They haulted construction because too many vehicles, people, plans weren't accepted, etc... I'm glad that this family got a chance to be excited about this new beginning in their lives!

From reading the posts on the Union Leader website some people think that the town did not do enough for the people living in Manchester. Some were complaining that they were inconvenienced. I would like to rip their home away from them for over a year and see if a one week road block appears to be to much to help them out.

So does this home raise the tax value of the neighborhood? Or is the neighborhood already in good condition?
