Get on 3/Daniel Webster Highway.

But it not really worth it to save the toll, with all the lights, lower speed limit, turning traffic ... on DW

Pictures are taken of every driver and every license plate.

Can it be done? Sure.

Take Exit 13, stay right to go towards Rte 3, turn left on to Rte 3, turn right on to the loop back to the turnpike. Stay in the left lane, drive past the toll booth (while waving at the booth), and merge on to the turnpike.

This will be a ~3.5-mile detour.

A similar detour works in the opposite direction, but that detour will be only about 2.5 miles.

Wish I had known that a year ago when I moved up here (Concord). I commute to Mass everyday and spend $80 on tolls monthly. Thankfully I am starting a job in New London in a few weeks and won't have to spend money on tolls anymore

That was before EZ Pass.... If you do that now, you will get a letter showing a picture of you vehical, and they will want 26 bucks.

I don't have a EZ Pass, and I don't want one, but I pulled into a pay cash booth some years back and no one was in it

I went to the next toll and told them I wanted to pay there, but wasn't allowed...

I was told the letter would come and indeed a rude letter did come, and it showed my brake lights were ON and i was stopped dead, and no one was in the blasted booth too.

I sent them a buck.... and an as rude letter back.

EZ Pass is based in NJ, and for all i care NJ can sink into the sea... I almost got my way too

LOL when I left NH for cal on my bike old man tokens were still in use. On my way back 10 months later, when i tried to use the tokens the collector looked at me like i had 2 heads.

I still have tokens with the old man on them, but I will add ear wires in sterling and sell them i guess.

The OP is trying to get to a job interview, the most important factor is they get there on time. Forget avoiding tolls. Call the recruiter (not the hiring manager) at the company you are interviewing for. Ask if interview travel expenses are covered. If they are not, get there on time and make and impression. If they are... at least you get your $3 back if you don't make the cut.
