I have a job opportunity in Nashua, but would prefer to live closer to Boston. Is there a city between Nashua and Boston that I could commute to work from? If not, what is the best city for a recent college grad to live in close to Nashua, NH? (city, social scene, other young people etc.)

Nashua borders MA so any town between Nashua and Boston will be in MA.

As attractive as the bright lights of Boston might be, you might want to take a look at what being a Mass resident will do to your taxes if you work in NH and live in MA. NH has no income tax, Mass does. The money you save not living in Mass might pay for a few really nice weekends in the Hub.

Move to Nashua, get involved in some community stuff (sports, young professionals groups, etc) and you'll find there is plenty to do. Manchester is larger than Nashua and has a little more going on (it's larger). You could commute to Nashua from the Boston area...it's about a 45-50 minute drive but it would be against traffic so would be pretty consistent.

As has been stated before, rent first and get to know the area before making a big commitment.
Nashua's location on the Mass border and on Rt.3 make it ideally located for travelers. Just get on the Everette Turnpike Northbound for Manchester, Concord and the White Mountains of head South to the Massachusetts venues. Nashua is a pretty good place as it is anyway.
If you are going to be employed in Nashua, it will be to your advantage to live here.
