Default Can anyone tell me about Nashua?

We are looking to relocate from Southern Cal. We're looking for better public schools and more affordable housing. I know that NH doesn't have sales or income tax, but that your property tax is high. Can you tell me how high?

I would love to hear about infrastructure (roads, mass transit), parks and recreation and other city services, diversity, general living.

Hi,
Each town has different taxes, that's one of the things people tend to really like about NH - the taxes are much more personal (?), at least you know a lot better where they're going, and some other town isn't sucking you dry!

You asked about Nashua? According to <http://www.nhes.state.nh.us/elmi/htmlprofiles/nashua.html> which has lots of info, it says that in 2005, the taxes were total of $16.32 per $1000. I tried to find something more recent, but the city's homepage <http://www.gonashua.com/> doesn't seem to want to load it's tax faq for me.

One thing you will find while checking out various towns and their taxes, the higher the taxes, usually the better the schools. Won't say always, but frequently they're high because the school system is very good and gets whatever it asks for.
