I think people here-natives are cold and reserved to outsiders period. Whether you are a minority or not. I do not think it has to do with the color of your skin or ethnicity. If you move to southern NH you will likely have a larger % of non-natives.

I can't imagine southern NH being too chilly to "outsiders" since so many of the border towns are full of MA transplants who live in NH but work in MA.

Maybe up north were you'll find families that have lived in the same town for 100 years or something but in Nashua it seems live everyone's a transplant so it would be pretty hypocritical to shun "outsiders."

Just my 2 cents.

When in a state that is 97% white don't expect to go unnoticed, but that doesn't mean that you'll be discriminated. In many towns, people feel that it is important to have a deep, strong community that go back generations.
