Ski Areas
You GOTTA love skiing in the sun! Cranmore is a pretty sunny mountain. Could someone please list a few west or south-facing slopes?

Sunapee has some outstanding views of the sunsets if you are skiing as the 3:00 last calls approach and you can get some good rays. Not sure if you are asking in the context of just NH, but Vail, CO is an excellent pick as well, especially in the lower bowls.

It's not in NH, but Bromley (Vermont) is south facing.
Black Mountain in Jackson might be south facing.

It's wierd. It seems like most ski areas in NH face east or north.. i.e. Loon, Attitash, Bretton Woods, Gunstock.. etc. Vail is awesome. However, it's little too far for frequent trips.

The northern exposure of some of the ski areas gives it a more nordic feeling because of the sun angle playing tricks with the mountainous terrain.

Cranmore does have a lot of south facing slopes and is famous for being a family area ( easy for kids) - it is also one of the smaller mountains with a low elevation keeping it warmer than the other ski areas -
most ski areas do not have southern slopes because of the quicker melt off in the spring - however, the new runs at Loon are more south than the rest of the mountain
as someone mentioned already, Sunapee has awesome sun in the afternoon on the western slopes and good sun in the morning on the upper east side
Cannon is also nice in the morning when you need to get an edge into that ice.
