Hello! If things go as expected we'll be moving to the Concord area sometime around the end of January. We're just lining up rental places to check out when we come in a few weeks so we don't have the exact neighborhood yet but we think we'll be somewhere around Concord or slightly north of there. We'll be moving from the Cleveland area so we're used to having quite a few options for grocery stores and restaurants and I'm not sure what to expect in a smaller town. I already found a ton of grocery stores on google in the area where we can get a lot of organic produce but I was wondering if anyone knows of any restaurants that serve grass-fed beef or free-range pork or chicken? Any pizza places that have tolerable gluten free pizza?

We're neurotically strict about meat that we eat; we ONLY eat humanely-raised/grass-fed/free-range meat of any kind and only wild-caught fish. We prefer things to be as local as possible but we're willing to be flexible with locality since we eat out so rarely. And we're gluten free which complicates things even more lol. So we don't expect that there's going to be a lot of choices but if you happen to know of a place that sells good gluten free pizzas or any restaurant that serves beef/chkn/pork we can eat of any star level, from burgers or diners to more formal places, please tell us! We cook 3 meals a day at home and some days it's nice to take a break and not get sick or feel guilty for doing it

And if you know of any local farms that sell grass fed/free range we'd love to know about those too. We found lists of them on eatwild but we want our money to go to a smaller family farm who we can trust with our food, and we just like supporting smaller local farms.

Thanks in advance for any info!

There's a gluten free pizza place in Northwood along Rte. 4. It's next to the Northwood Garage.

This is where you'll want to shop: Concord Food Co-op | Everyone is welcome to shop the Co-op!
We have a few similar stores where I live and LOVE them. We try to eat local/organic as much as possible as well.

You can also check out Local Harvest for more farm ideas:
Local Harvest / Farmers Markets / Family Farms / CSA / Organic Food

Check out The Healthy Buffalo in Chichester for meat (some local, some exotic.) They also have a restaurant in Loudon. Perhaps more exotic than you're looking for. They do have grass-fed beef, though.

The Concord Co-op has some good stuff - definitely worth checking out - but it's much smaller than the website suggests and quite limited compared to pretty much any other similar grocery store I have visited.
