Presidential Primary....
Is everyone getting all excited that Oprah will be in Manchester this coming week to show support for her candidate Obama?? I bet it is exciting to be in NH during this time, with the Presidential Primary coming up in 30 days. I dont mean cuz of Oprah either. How many of you have got to meet one of the candidates or atleast seen someone? They always show them on the news going into a diner or some place and shakin hands or sitting down with us regular folks. So I was just courious.

I've never personally met them but I drove past Obama here in Keene, well it wasn't close but I could see him. Hillary came here also. Keene is usually a major stop for candidates.. I won't however drive to Manchester to see Oprah.. Although I do like her

Hi Suzet - I'm not an Oprah fan, so I couldn't care less if she's in New Hampshire (sorry Oprah fans).....We've had Obama here in Littleton on Memorial Day, he spent time in the Senior Center; John McCain has been here two or three times, one time stopping at a sale at one of the local churches...Rudy had a fundraiser near here, at the Mt. Washington Hotel....Bill Clinton was in Whitefield, not far from here, last week, I think and we've had some of the "lesser" candidates come through town. As far as I know, Hillary, John Edwards, Fred Thompson and Ron Paul have not been through here, but I could be wrong - We saw Obama and McCain "by accident" - didn't know they were coming to town and just happened to be in town when they were <g>.
I've posted previously (under a different screen name, had it changed), that I was amazed by the number of politicians who stop here in Littleton. When we lived in NYS, we lived about halfway between NYC and Albany and never saw ANY candidate in ANY election (other than town candidates) - We moved way up here and it seemed like everybody was coming to Littleton - it blew me away

Good riddance: personally, I can't wait until it is over. Thank god I didn't decide to take a stroll down the street this past weekend to the Loaf & Ladle as I some times do. I would have barfed out my lunch if I suddenly was face-to-face with Hillary Clinton! I even was stuck on a eventual canceled flight out of Manchester a few weeks back with Ron Paul a few rows away. We made eye contact, and I almost swore he was on to me for being the villainous, heinous indivdual who has been bashed him in the past on this forum!
I hear Tom Tancredo is coming back to the state to speak. He and Duncan Hunter are the rare exceptions and shoot straight arrows. I would go out of my way to speak with them one-on-one. The rest of these candidates however are total frauds and certainly won't give a hoot about the Granite State if they take the Oval office. Some of us know the issues and candidates' history without needing the aid of downtown Portsmouth rallies, as well as hand shakes and fake sincerity at our favorite dining venues.

I have met EVERY candidate that comes to NH - I worked in the heart of downtown Manchester and they seem to gather in front of the Palace Theatre to shake hands with Joe Public.
Obama is a great speaker! don't really care about Oprah......

I met John McCain at Howards Restuarant while having breakfast about 2 weeks ago. Don't know if I'll vote for him or not. It is interesting to meet an American hero though !

Oh Mama oh!Obama i wish
I wish it could be possible for Obama to become President, Unfortunately I dont know if you understand how politics work? Obama looks too honest to be a President!
I would love to see a President that does not mix religious beliefs and cults for themselves using abortion as their big business, abortion is just an excuse to delay and put aside more serious problems like health insurance, wars, poor strategic planning ahead, border issues, stem cells and more real things like money our slumping housing market.
We need someone accountable, business minded that does not believe in outsourcing and making poor and irrevocable decisions and most of all that keeps his religious beliefs to himself.
Look at Giuliani it gets an endorsement by some hypocrite religious freak ? why do you think they get to that level? why are people so stupid to believe this garbage?
