Red Square is on a distinguished road
Default Information about Nashua area

We live in Northern Maine, actually more the middle of the state, but it is called Northern Maine. I LOVE Maine, but I can't get a job. My husband has a good one, but I am not having any luck. We have been happy here for 6 years and the kids will HATE to move, but we can't afford to live on one income.

Any info on what schools would be best in the Greater Nashua area? We will have two in Middle school. Having them in good schools is really important to me.

What are some of the more family friendly areas to live? Oh, and how about ice hockey?

Thanks a bunch for the teacher info, I am also a teacher and that really helped.

Thanks a ton for the help.

Hollis is next door to Nashua. Definately family-friendly, excellent school system (4 schools) paired with Brookline. sorry, no hockey: Hollis is basketball oriented.

Hollis has great schools, as does Amherst. In fact, the Souhegan District is known as having one of the best sports programs in the area. Not sure if you're looking for youth or adult hockey, but Manchester has hockey for all ages, including mens leagues.

Default Thanks a bunch Valerie

Great information! I checked out Hollis, but it looks as though it may be a bit out of our price range. We are in Maine now and our house was very inexpensive. I am suffering from sticker shock! I will keep looking around. Thanks again.

yup, Hollis & Brookline are expensive -because it all goes to the schools! Pretty much anything the school board asks for, they get. And they've got 4 schools to run.
