Welcome Jackie!!! I am jealous of you for moving there before my daughter and I get to. We were supposed to be there in Nov, and now it will be March. Welcome to CD Forum. The NH people on here are wonderful, and will help with your questions in any way they can. Well as they are doing now, sorry, I am late to this thread.

Preschool kids are such fun to be around! I'm sure you'll enjoy it and no...you can't have my job!

I'm sure your hubby will find something - just be aware the pay is usually quite low (especially compared to NYS), at least to start, depending on where you work. Here's another link to check out as well: Employment in Littleton NH . That site also has quite a bit of info on Littleton.

What made you decide to apply up here? We ended up here because hubby was semi-familiar with the area

Hey everyone, thanks for your replies.

We made the choice to move here also because my husband has been coming up here since he was a kid.

How are the health benefits up there? I was looking at some and they seem to have high deductibles?

Thanks!

The benefits depend on where you work and what plan they have, I think.

Thanks!

So I am curious, how many feet or maybe inches of snow does it take to get a snow day from school? lol. Everyone must be so used to it. It only takes a few inches on long Island for a snow day!!!

Hehehe - They had a snow day on Monday - I think we ended up with somewhere around 10 inches, give or take. Today is sunny, but COLD - it's about 17 right now, it was below 0 during the night...make sure you bring warm clothes when you do your apartment hunting!

I don't know how well the roads on LI are taken care of, but we've been very pleased with the roads up here during snow storms - they seem to plow quickly and the roads are pretty easy to travel on - even when we get a ton of snow!

Hi Jack Frost

Congrats on the job and the upcoming move Littleton sounds like a great place to be. I'm a "southern girl" myself (down in Southern NH that is!) otherwise known as a flat-lander. For such a teeny state we've got some diverse regions
