Verseau, I think you out did yourself this time, if that is at all possible . Mom was right, those fall foliage pics taken in Sandwich were just incredible!!! God, they were gorgeous. You got my fave things, duckys, covered bridges and fall foliage . My knees got weak though seeing how close those cars were parked to the edge of the cliff . I am soo scared of heights . The flowers were also beautiful.
Ken, the moose crossing sign made me laugh a bit. We dont see that out here in So Cali. But I guess itsnt too funny, I have read some awful stories about what has happend to people if they hit a moose .

I just finished scrolling through all 113 pages of this thread. Thanks for sharing.
Verseau, sorry to see you didn't have pics of North Conway, or Jackson, but I'm looking forward to see what comes after "T."

I'm glad you enjoyed my photos, MtnFlyer.
North Conway is part of the town of Conway, so some of my photos under "Conway" are technically closer to the North Conway center. The photos starting with the views from Cathedral Ledge are technically North Conway, I believe.

Verseau, we are going to need a new camera before we leave for our trip. Any suggestions?? I dont want to get too technical of a camera. Just a Sony or Fuji or something like that. Something that is user friendly. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I am also going to look at Consumers and see what they say.

Believe it or not, I'm no expert on cameras . Photography is just an amateur hobby of mine and I use a kind of crappy 4 megapixel Kodak Easyshare camera. I definitely need an upgrade, though, and I'll be doing research into good cameras myself. For my Christmas list.
There might be some helpful threads about cameras on the photography forum, though.

I have a Canon Powershot - and although it has a lot of advanced settings, I haven't read the book yet LOL. I just use it as a point-and-shoot. I do suggest making sure the camera you get has a high OPTICAL zoom (you can stand further away and zoom in) moreso than the digital zoom (which is just to make the picture look better in a bigger size). Sony and Kodak make a comparable camera to the Powershot, just go to a camera shop and "try" them out. My optical zoom is a 12x and I personally wouldn't go much less - and I have hardly any photography experience.
