Yep I'm like MtnFlyer still in rep jail Verseau so I can't rep you for the awesome pictures of Portsmouth - I know EXACTLY where you were (besides Prescott Park LOL) but of course across the street around Strawberry Banke and Middle St and going down to Newcastle and such. Those houses are so memorable with their colors - the picture of downtown and the church is beautiful. Of course the ones up your way are gorgeous too. <sigh>

Thanks for posting the Portsmouth pictures. I spent a awful lot of time in Portsmouth years ago.

jakiedoodle, I love the photos, especially the bluejay.
I won't be back in NH until June, but I'm looking forward to those warm summer days. In the meantime, keep those photos coming -- I may get homesick, and I won't be able to provide the thread with any new pictures.

Thanks!
The bluejays were hanging out in my yard in the Fall and I snapped a few pics of them out my window. They are so pretty! : )
Winter can be beautiful, but IMO nothing beats the Fall!

Verseau - where are you now? Thanks again for posting all of those pics - it just makes me more and more sure everytime I see them that NH is the place for us! I absolutely love the ones of the houses / bldgs with the snow falling. I think those are my favorite so far! Hopefully we won't be long getting there - hubby is almost fully retired - turns in his police unit next week and gets his last 'on duty' check the end of April, then retirement kicks in. We are working to get the house ready to go on the market for March 1, and my realtor says avg days on mkt in our area is only 26, so cross those fingers, please! Hope you have fun wherever you are - you seem like the kind of person who takes what each place has to offer and makes the best of it! Got a question about your photos - do you 'set up' for each shot and really look for particular things, or do you just shoot what you see and take lots and lots of shots and then pick out the ones you like and ditch the rest? I'm kind of new to digital - still pretty attached to my Nikon - but I got a good 12 mp for Christmas last year and am working on moving over to it primarily. So my shooting style is changing dramatically. I used to have to set everything up etc. because I was using profession film and developing that was so not cheap and I was also taking about 50 36 exposure rolls a year which added up quickly. I actually have not developed 1 roll the whole year of 2008, so I'm proud of myself. Everything has been digital. Anyways, just wondering.....? Hope you're doing well!

Thanks, Carole, I'm glad you enjoyed them. I'm very happy with them too. As for my photography "style," I just shoot what I see as I'm walking along -- and I do end up deleting a good number of shots. That's the beauty of digital, I guess.
I'm actually in Paris now, so I can't complain too much. I'm sure I'll miss the New Hampshire countryside, but there's so much to do here and tons of photo opportunities.
