Thanks for the info, guys. I'd heard of Luna Moths but that was the first time I ever saw one!

And yep, the Schnauzer is mine -- she's a Standard and her name is Angel. She's 12 and her rear legs are pretty weak, so I can't take her on hikes or anything anymore, but she does enjoy being outside whenever she can.

yup, looks a lot like the lunar moth that took a day nap on my office door last month! cool aren't they? I was amazed how huge they are!

Val, they like Sweet Gums? We have tons of those trees around here, but I seldom (like only once) have seen the moth.
