I love NH and I own in WV. I won't go up there during that weekend. The old bikers and their gals are ok but there are to many idiots up there that are drinking, riding, and just don't get it!!

Went out to look at a used Accent today but the salesman seemed uninterested so we bopped down the road to Searles castles in Windham NH

Searles castle was built for Edward F Searles a very profitable interior decorator of the era. his castles was completed in 1915 at a then cost of 1,250,000.00 And yet sadly Searles died only five years after completion.. The castles was willed by Searles to his secretary and after that it went through the possession of various other benefactors until it was acquired by The Sisters of Mercy in 1952, who have owned it since. In 2001 it was opened for weddings and other special events.

Most pics came from the lovely Linda today

We wanted to get into the court yard but there was a private function going on.. next time perhaps

Outside the castle..saying good bye to the castle

Afterwards I risked the odds to try a new rib joint ( and seafood shack ) called Lobster Que in Hampstead NH. This places wasn't bad at all. Though on the stringy side the pulled pork was none the less moist, the ribs suffered from a little over cooking on the grill before serving but had some nice moist spots and in the areas where the rub did not clump together, they were quite flavorful. Lindas haddock sandwich was good sized and she loved it

stuffed

NH has literally hundreds of quirky little roadside rest areas replete with turn off and picnic table(s) This one is just after the 121 north junction in Auburn

It was a hazy, lazy early summer day and we dodged the thunder storms that were hovering over the state, we put on a few miles and enjoyed teh scenery, time to relax with a banana split

Great day..hope yours was.
