Went back up to the White Mountains this weekend. The lower elevations of the Kancamagus were at peak while the higher elevations were past peak. Bear Notch Rd was on the cusp of peaking. The southern sides of the notches were also at full color, while north of the notches was mostly fading.

And some color in the Lakes Region, which I expect should be peaking within the week...

Default Chester, NH

Every October, we look forward to the Historical Society of Chester NH annual fundraiser: The Scarecrows of Chester. As you drive through the main streets and back roads of Chester, you'll see dozens of these scarecrows on front lawns, porches and more. These are just a very few of the pictures that I took a couple of days ago. Be sure to take a ride through Chester this weekend to see even more! Would love to see the pictures that YOU take

Hi Valerie, our family saw a similar display of scarecrows in Jaffrey today - it was pretty cool

I am just STUNNED by the pictures you have shared - some very talented photographers here on this site. Thanks for making me miss home more - the colors are so pale in comparison here in NC - all yellow and brown here just blah! No orange, no red
