The van guided tour is only $26 and takes 1 1/2 hours round trip and you have 30 minutes at the summit. i did the van tour when i went up.
Danielle - That picture was taken when my mom and dad were on their honeymoon - When I told mom what the price is now, she couldn't believe it She stayed at the bottom while Dad went up on the rail. I took that picture off a DVD that had been made from the old 38-mm movies (I think that's what the original was?). There are scenes from around Franconia notch that are still easily recognized, which I found kinda neat

Suzet, thank you for sharing some of your world with us! It looks just beautiful there--how far from Ventura Beach do you live? Is that a place that you get to often, just to chill out and relax? I find the beach to be one of the most relaxing places, especially in the off season, when I can bring the dog and let him off-leash, watch the horses, etc. THAT season is just about over! Gee, I guess though, in SoCal, there IS no off-season for the beach

Default I second Country's reply - I was amazed

that farm looks so serene - and I love horses too

and the pictures of Franconia area are gorgeous but I am out of my "winter" mode into the full bloom of spring (seeing it's 80+ here and I'm in shorts today battling the wasps and bumblebees!)
