JFR- Your granddaughter is gorgeous and adorable at the same time! How nice that you get to spend time spoiling her. Love the doll in the passenger seat, btw! That fixed doll expression just says "is she dragging me on another ride already?".
Suzet - Your entire family is stunning. And your girls just radiate goodness, which is uncommon there. I think you know what I mean. I love the Griffith Observatory and it holds special meaning to me bec. when we first moved from NH to CA we lived in a corporate apartment on Los Feliz (the longest 3 wks of my life), so I was up there often. Everyone might remember the observatory from the classic Rebel Without A Cause (James Dean, Natalie Wood, Sal Mineo). >sigh< So sorry you are stuck in the smog. It's just not right.
And Verseau, I was going to start a thread about the French influence in NH, since it's prevalent and obvious here, i.e. the bienvenue signs at the mass border, etc. and some of us on the board(myself included) have eau-ending french last names ....Good luck w/the progress of your thesis.

JFR, your Granddaughter is just so adorable .
Verseau, wow I am very impressed . I hope you can go to Paris. That will be amazing for you. I would actually love to learn French. My family on my Dads' side are French, so I guess it would be nice to speak the language.
Lisa, thank you, that was very sweet of you to say that about my girls. They are truly angels in my book. My husband and I are blessed to have two great daughters. Yes, I sure do know what you mean about goodness being uncommon here. Its really too bad.
I loved the movie Rebel without a Cause. I havent seen it in a very long time. I liked the movie Bowfinger with Eddie Murphy, that was also filmed at the Observatory. The movie Transformers had a scene shot at the Observatory too . My daughter Heather is a huge Shia fan, lol. So I have had to sit through that movie many times hahaha.
The smog is really bad this year . Even today, looking out the window, it is pretty smoggy, and you can feel it when you breathe in....sigh.
So I take it you didnt like living in Los Felix ??? Lol. But the bright side, you did get to spend some time at the Observatory .

Great pictures Ishwrong I think my favorite is the one of the bridges over the Piscataqua (how bad did I butcher the spelling of that one?) Very nice with the lights, the coast guard boats, etc. Thanks for sharing!!

Heh, thanks! And, you spelled Piscataqua correctly! I went over a river yesterday on Route 1 in Belfast, ME that is five times worse than Piscataqua. Let's see... Passagassawakeag.

Great pics
Here's a couple pics that I took. My boyfriend and I go fishing a LOT and while we were in the canoe on Mendum's Pond in Barrington, we saw the cutest loon family. Check out the pics!! I took a ton of photos. In these pics, you can only see one baby on the Mama's back but she actually had 2 on there.

great loon pictures. I see them all the time in in the fall and winter while kayaking/fishing the coast, but they are always in their eclipse plumage. I need to get on some freshwater sometime this summer to get some worthwhile shots like you did. I love paddling, you can get soooo much closer to everything. Great shots.

We were at the Mountain View Grand in Whitefield this weekend for a wedding. Perfect weather, fabulous panoramic views.
