WIMU, How long have you lived in Deerfield. I lived there for 12 years before moving down here.

well I thought it was over and then about 7 tonight its started to HURRICANE snow!! I stood at my windown in awe of how hard the snow was coming down... It was worse than this morning. I'd say we got a few more inches on top of what we got this morning... I dunno how much snow we got but in the yard its up to my chest, unplowed/ shoveled mid thigh.. crazy I tell you , crazy... I hope everyone is well, and everyone has power!

OK, you can get away with this kind of post in December while we all still love the snow (on our 3rd snowstorm of the month, this is QUITE a difference from last year!! But if this continues into January & February, you'll probably have quite a different reaction when you post about a cloudless days wearing shorts and t-shirts LOL

Oh in know. Florida gets busy in the months of Feb and March from everyone up north looking for a break. I know it gets old. It's like the heat down here in the summer time. I hibernate indoors during the summer months because it's so miserable outside to do anything.

I enjoyed reading about all the snow (since I also was wearing shorts just last week) - but it suddenly turned cold on us here in NC and Brrrrr...we're feeling it. It's very windy, and in the high 20s early this morning. No matter, it will warm up in a week or so. Glad we don't have to deal with all that snow. Pretty, but can be deadly. I still remember the Blizzard of 78, when the kids got off the school bus and couldn't see the house 300 feet away. Lots of people died in that blizzard. I also recall a more recent bad snowstorm when it took me 3 hours to drive from Nashua to Merrimack. No thanks. I'm glad to be outta there. Pictures brought back a lot of memories...pretty. Thanks for posting. That's the way I like to view winter.

we were fortunate in that the storm fell on a weekend - we had a storm a couple days before that was horrendous in traffic - my daughter lives and works in Manchester. She was released from work early (3:30) and got caught in the worst of the storm with the green circle drivers. (skier talk - haha) What was normally a 15 minute drive turned into 2 hours of headache while the city was gridlocked.
