Actually, rust is factory installed on every vehicle shipped to the North East. Everybody has it so no one feels left out!!

Really, though, it's not so bad these days. It takes much longer for body rot than just ten years ago. Other things still rust, like exhaust parts, brake lines, brackets, etc. Basically anthing that doesn't have a sealer on it. The metals are treated before they leave the factory, so you can go many years without trouble. If you wash and wax regularly, it's even better. But, once you get a scratch or a chip..........watch out!! It will rust very quickly.
