I was refering to a very small group of ppl like 5 that are acting like the ACLU if the town don't agree with them they sue the town. forcing there beliefs on the town ppl. even when the majority of town votes for something this little group sues to block it they like to waste tax payer money and demand noone but them matter. So just like the ACLU they are Bullies. Lucky enough they just cover littleton so if you want to live in that area stay in a serounding town and let the littleton ppl worry about how screwed up this group has made the town. If you read the local paper for littleton than the opera house the meadows the police cheif and the budget and the location of the police department as well as not 1 but 2 town managers and the board have all been sued by this 1 group and this 1 group is pretty much responsible for every 1 of these things no i'm not exzagerating they really are. every 1 of these things can be traced back to this group. and that is where it all began. VERY,VERY, sad that such a nice town could be ruined by a bunch of morons. check out www.caledonianrecord.com it is another local paper that covers littleton

I read the post about the ACLU and problems in Littleton as well..I live in Littleton and have not heard anything about it nor seen anything in the papers, either. I also tried a google search and came up empty, so it will be interesting to see what others have to say....BTW, we do have a new interim police chief who started yesterday or the day before <g>....

Thanks for the search and the link tip. I looked through the archives this morning and found them interesting. I was hoping the group mentioned had a website, but if they do, I can't find it...do you know if they have one? If I understood the articles correctly, and I may not have (wouldn't be the first time <g>), the first town manager who is being sued resigned and is now the town manager in Plaistow, and the second town manager who is being sued is not being sued regarding anything with Littleton, but rather as a selectman in Warren..is that correct? It almost sounds like the town is going through "growing pains"..One of the things I like best about the town is that they have kept the "integrity" of Main Street and the "big box" stores are in another area. I read somewhere that a condo complex is going to be going in somewhere near Bretton Woods, which isn't too far from here...if that's true, it should be interesting to see what, if any impact that has on the town......

i'm not sure all the info I have came from the paper and friends and family up there its just sad that such a beautiful town can be in such a mess and it all started with a silly thing like an opera house and police station.

That's an interesting "take" on the town.... that it can be in "such a mess" ...I really don't see it as being that bad, but again, I came from a bigger town with bigger "messes" so I guess it's probably all relative to what you're used to <g>. For me, it still holds the beauty and feeling of "Small Town America", which is what we were looking for.
