You know, I do imagine that there is a girl in NH with the name "Liberty."

Our sister state (NH) truly has no machinery tax, income tax or sales tax. However they have a whopping property tax. And a tax when you register your car (so do we). Still I like a lot of things about NH. They need to adopt a Vermont-like concealed carry law for their residents(no permit required), in my opinion. The liberty-free state attitude has probably brought a lot of liberty minded people to the state which is a good thing. Unfortunately it has probably also attracted its share of radicals and anarchists as well. Still I like their attitude when it comes to politics, "no professional politicians" so to speak, which I like. (Look at Leahy and Vermont, one of the, if not longest serving senators). Politicians are like diapers in that if you don't change them regularly they start to stink.

To be fair, there's nothing in New Hampshire to prevent a Leahy type from serving for a long time. New Hampshire is just the epitome of a swing state so no one ever lasts too long. Of course, one might argue that Judd Gregg did decently well as a professional politician, he was a governor and then a long time Senator.
