Does CDF have a live chat option? I can't seem to navigate here, I'm a bit rusty. Do any of you regulars live chat outside of forum posting? Just wondering if this was the only way all of us chat here.

Hi Kat - I don't think CDF has a live chat option. Other than DM's, the only way I *think* you can chat is if you have the various IM services - Yahoo, AIM, ICQ, Trillian, MSN messenger, etc.

I am addicted to chatting and enjoyed it much more before msn elimintated that feature for us. I now chat in a place called Buzzen. Give it a try and look for the nics you may be familiar with in here. You may find some. I have chatted in the News and Politics sections there as I find them to be the most lively. I will look for you there Katlakat. I live in Maine - neighbor!

You know, that sounds like fun Kat!! There are tons of places where people from CDF could chat. I still have an AIM and ICQ account, but the best way is most likely to have an IRC chat.
When my family relocated to St. Louis, I taught all of my family members how to log onto an IRC chatroom, and to this day, we still hold a weekly chat, one night a week. I've been using mIRC since 1996, so if anyone has questions on where to download from, etc. I could share some info... Thanks Kat, that is a GREAT idea ![]() |

Ahh cool!! I surfed around this morning for something to do. I hated the chat places I found, and always liked it here. But wanted something a little different.
I have pidgeon right now, to chat with Hubby at work, and a yahoo account. I will look up the other stuff too. hey neighbor! |

The chat software I've been using for (omygod) nearly 12 years is mIRC
mIRC: Internet Relay Chat client It's super easy to download/install/use ![]() Thousands of channel, hundreds of irc networks, we could even register our own on one of the smaller networks... You can d/l it free, use for 30 days and if you like it, it's $20 (I still use the free one from a long LONG time ago, never found a need to upgrade..) |

Nope no live chat here. We could actually go to Yahoo and start a group chat that way or if anyone has MSN, you could do a group chat that way too
